Adjustable opening height

Skylights from Plastimo skylights feature two compasses that allow you to adjust the opening height of the hatch to suit your needs. Simply disengage the scissors in the twinkling of an eye to adjust it. It can have a small opening of 19 mm, which is perfect for boats with a teak deck.

If you wish, these compasses can be detached from the sash for a 180° opening.

There are also two handles with excellent grip. These handles, located on the inside, incorporate an effective locking catch that prevents the deck hatch from being opened from the outside . What's more, there's no need to operate the lock from the outside.

A solid, watertight and aesthetic design

Skylight solid deck panelsfrom Plastimo skylight deck panels are designed with a large-section, unibody aluminum sash for excellent rigidity and attractive design. This results in even pressure on the joints for a perfect seal.

Here, the "glazing" is solid anodized aluminum. This provides great strength, should your boat deck be subject to heavy traffic. Another advantage of this solid, anodized coating is its resistance to weather, temperature variations and corrosion.

On-board installation

Lanterneau 's deck hatches Plastimo are CE-certified for coastal and offshore use. These screw-on hatches, with their flat profile and compass opening, comply with European regulations for on-board installation.

They can therefore be installed in zones II, III & IV, deck, roof and cockpit areas.

European standard CE 94/25 of June 16, 1996 defines zones as follows:

• Zone I: hull above the waterline
• Zone II: deck, coachroof, cockpit, transom
• Zone IIB: hull area not belonging to Zone I
• Zone III: superstructure, deck and cockpit
• Zone IV: cockpit and deck, aft face of superstructure

It should be noted that the size 70skylight deck hatch from Plastimo is approved as an escape hatch. However, it must be installed in Zone IIB!
