DIGITAL YACHT - AIS LIFE GUARD - 1ST AIS MOB ALARM SYSTEM

AIS Life Guard is the world's first "man overboard" AIS alarm system designed to work with IMO-approved SART and MOB beacons. With AIS Life Guard connected to an AIS transponder or receiver, you'll have a complete AIS system.

When the unit receives an AIS SART message, it will emit a very loud alarm to signal that a man has gone overboard. It operates automatically, simply by connecting the two NMEA0183 wires of the AIS to the NMEA0183 output of your AIS.

OPERATION

As soon as a SART AIS transmission is detected, the unit sounds its internal 95dB alarm and displays a warning message with a red light.

For larger installations, it can be connected to an external alarm (not supplied) so that the whole boat is immediately warned.

The AIS MOB detects both message 1 and 14, both messages are reserved for SART's. It will also emit three short audible alarms if it detects an AIS SART "test" message, this is ideal for checking the correct operation of your AIS SART's before sailing.
