Electric bow and stern thruster
Electric thrusters use electricity as their power source, usually connected to a battery and equipped with an electric motor that drives a propeller. They are lighter and more compact, and easier to install and maintain than hydraulic bow thrusters. They consume less energy from the battery, but are less efficient in terms of power for maneuvering large vessels at high speeds. The choice between electric and hydraulic thrusters depends on many factors, such as vessel size and type, maneuverability requirements, energy efficiency and cost.
