Several ventilation systems are present on boats. Whether it's topurify the air, combat humidity or lower cabin temperatures, ventilation is a key factor in on-board comfort.

From the traditional windsock to the flap-type dorade box system, not forgetting the fabric windsock for deck hatches, you'll find everything you need to ventilate the interior of your boat in our selection of products.

To properly ventilate your boat, you need to connect a classic dorade box, or one with a flap, to various air hoses, which will carry air from the boat's deck. In the event of a sea package, you'll need a system that lets the air through without letting the water in.

FOCUS ON THE PLASTIMO COOL'N DRY SYSTEM

To avoid water ingress from heavy rain or sea breezes, we offer dorade boxes with an automatic flap that keeps the ventilation system open at all times without letting moisture in. In fact, the Cool'N Dry system, offered by our partner Plastimo, closes the air intake only when water falls on it, while allowing it to evacuate immediately.

The diagram opposite explains how it works:

• The windsock always remains open. Thanks to the innovative automatic closing system, water cannot penetrate in the event of bad weather or a sea wave.
• The arrival of a wave or heavy rain (2) momentarily closes the flap, preventing water from entering the cabin.
• As the water evacuates (3), the flap rises again, allowing air to circulate.

However, you can close this opening manually by pressing twice on the button inside the cabin.
