HOW THE BATTERY WORKS

Lithium batteries, often based on-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) lithium technology, are distinguished by their ability to deliver high power with exceptional efficiency.
Their internal structure uses-ion lithium cells, which deliver a much higher energy density than lead-acid batteries, while being more compact and lightweight.

These batteries feature an integrated electronic management system, known as the BMS (Battery Management System). This system regulates charging and discharging, prevents overcharging and protects the battery against overheating and short-circuits. This ensures greater safety and extends battery life.

ADVANTAGES IN THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT

Lithium batteries are characterized by their instantaneous, stable power, offering high starting current without voltage drop, even in demanding conditions, guaranteeing reliable starting of engines, whether small outboard-or more demanding diesel engines.

They are also very light, up to three times lighter than-lead-acid batteries, which reduces the total weight on board, an advantage particularly appreciated on small and medium-sized boats. With a service life up to five times longer than that of conventional batteries, they can withstand thousands of charge/discharge cycles while maintaining their initial performance.

Their fast recharging time is a major advantage, especially for users who are constantly at sea, and their low self-discharge makes them ideal for boats left idle for long periods. Designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures, they operate efficiently even in demanding marine environments.

Last but not least, these batteries require little or no maintenance, simplifying their use for boaters while offering optimum reliability.
