Electricity
Electricity isessential to the operation of marine instruments, and must be distributed in a very specific way on a boat. As weather conditions are difficult, electrical equipment has to meet strict safety standards, as well as specific needs. Marine batteries are very useful for powering electrical appliances, electric motors, boat equipment, etc. during a crossing. Batteries can be recharged by a variety of means: wind turbines, solar panels, marine generators, etc.
In this section, you'll find equipment for power generation, energy storage, distribution or conversion, as well as battery chargers.

ELECTRICITY GENERATIONIf you don't have to anchor in port every day when sailing, crossing or racing, it's a good idea to have on board alternative means of recharging and supplying power to the domestic grid. That's why in this section we offer you various types of electricity generators: wind turbines, solar panels and generators are all relatively widespread solutions for power generation. But boats also have the advantage of being able to generate electricity simply by moving on the surface of the water, thanks to the hydrogenerator. Watt&Sea's Pod 600, for example, is a 600W traversing hydrogenerator capable of generating electricity at speeds as low as 3 knots. You'll quickly obtain 8 A at 5 knots. Enough to power your on-board instruments, equipment and electrical installations (lighting, heating, etc.). In these sections, you'll find all the accessories and connectors you need. |

ENERGY STORAGEOnce the electricity has been generated, you'll need to store it to make the most of it. Batteries will fulfill this role, powering your entire system. In the energy storage section, you'll find our selection of marine service batteries, starter batteries and combi batteries. Most of these are now equipped with lithium technology. They are therefore maintenance-free, more resistant, and offer greater autonomy and longer life than lead-acid batteries. Of course, all accessories such as voltmeters, battery managers, circuit breakers and charge distributors are available from our store. Don't hesitate to contact our advisors for any technical questions, or for information on prices, shipping, stock or returns. |
