The POD 600 hydrogenerator is the innovative solution for sailboats unable to install a hydrogenerator on their skirt for technical, mechanical or aesthetic reasons. It installs under the hull and delivers the same performance as the brand's historic models.

WATT & SEA - POD 600 - IDEAL FOR A FIRST INSTALLATION

This version of the hydrogenerator has proven its practical advantages: invisible, no complex launching, ON/OFF start-up, and electrical output equivalent to CRUISING models.

It is supplied with a braking resistor that dissipates the 600 W when the batteries are full and the boat is sailing fast (8/12 knots and above). This resistor must be mounted on a metal frame to effectively dissipate power and heat during braking phases. It can reach very high temperatures, so be sure to place it in a protected area to eliminate any risk during use (overheating, burns). To do this, you can:

Bond the resistor to the hull on metal boats
Bond it to the mast base on boats with through-deck aluminum masts
Provide a protected space in the engine compartment bilge

	POD 600 The POD 600 hydrogenerator is supplied with an aluminum mast section of only 200 mm. This moves the propeller blades away from the hull and any potential noise generated. It fits under the boat's hull to provide onboard power discreetly. Supplied as standard with the 240 mm diameter propeller (10 A at 5.6 knots), it accepts a range of 4 propellers depending on sailing speed between 3 and 20 knots. Output power increases exponentially above 6 knots.
