Specially designed for all types of diving, the connected watch Garmin Descent G1 features a Anti-0.9" reflection with high contrast f acilitating reading, a 25-hour autonomy (in dive mode), with sapphire crystal protection, silicone strap, stainless steel reinforced housing and waterproof buttons for dives to 100 meters.

Does-I have to rinse my watch after each dive?

Hello Marie,
Yes, we recommend rinsing your dive watch in fresh water after every dive, even if you've been diving in fresh water. This removes salt residues that can damage the watch in the long term when you dive in salt water.
In freshwater, fine particles and impurities may also remain on your watch after use. In this case, you can rinse the watch in fresh water, without soap or abrasive products, and then leave it to dry in the open air.

Hi Tom,
Yes, the Descent G1 is compatible with the Garmin Connect mobile app, available free of charge on iOS and Android. It will enable you to:
- Automatically synchronize your dives and sporting activities.
- Analyze your dive data in detail (depth, duration, temperature, dive profile, etc.).
- Customize watch settings directly from your phone.
- Track your daily activity: heart rate, sleep, steps, calories..
- Share your dives with the community at Garmin or on networks.
All you need to do is activate Bluetooth on your phone to take advantage of these functions.
The Garmin Dive application is also compatible, automatically recording all your dives with detailed data such as maximum depth, immersion time, water temperature and dive profile. You can also manually add dives, record your impressions, attach photos and even record the GPS position of explored sites.
Garmin Dive also allows you to plan your dives according to your parameters (depth, type of gas mix, surface intervals, etc.), while rigorously tracking your progress over time. Finally, the application offers a community space where you can share your experiences, discover new spots and exchange ideas with other diving enthusiasts.
