Gear-driven water unit

A gear water unit is a water circulation system that uses a gear pump to circulate water around the vessel. The gear pump is driven by an electric or hydraulic motor and consists of two gears that turn against each other to pump water. The gear water unit is generally used to circulate hot and cold water throughout the vessel, and can be fitted with a heat exchanger to heat or cool the water as required. It can also be fitted with a pressure switch or other water pressure measuring device to maintain a constant pressure in the water circulation system. Gear-driven water units are robust and reliable, and are often used on commercial and transport vessels to supply hot and cold water to crew and passengers.
