The EV-100 Tiller Raymarine autopilot, like the better-known ST1000 or ST2000, measures the environment, then instantly calculates and applies helm commands for an unrivalled level of performance. But more than that, the EV-100 TILLER is equipped with its own EV-1 central sensor and a dedicated ACU-100 control unit. The result is precise, reliable course keeping, whatever the vessel's speed and sailing conditions.
The Evolution autopilot is absolutely straightforward, with no set-up procedures and no compass calibration. It's so precise that it saves battery power and reduces time to destination.

THE EV-1 CENTRAL SENSORThe nerve center of the EV-100 autopilot, the EV-1 sensor is a 9-axis compass that monitors the ship's movements in all three dimensions . The EV-1 sensor is a major innovation, combining state-of-the-art transistorized sensors and the Evolution autopilot processor in a single housing. The EV-1 central sensor can be installed anywhere, on or below deck. Waterproof and robust, the housing is completely sealed and complies with IPX6 and IPX7 waterproofing and submersion standards. |

BENEFITS OF THE EV-1 CENTRAL SENSORThe EV-1 offers permanent , precise control of heading, pitch, roll and yaw. The compass takes instant account of sailing conditions and changes in ship dynamics, and immediately transmits the information to the autopilot. The sensor is so reliable and responsive that it offers a dynamic accuracy of less than 2 degrees , whatever the sailing conditions. Automatic compensation for the ship's magnetic fields and reliable heading accuracy in extreme northern and southern latitudes. This control panel is easy to read thanks to its bright colors, high contrast and wide viewing angle. This version of the controller has no rotary knobs, but 8 large pushbuttons for improved ergonomics and grip. The p70s displays autopilot information in a variety of formats, with 3-step settings for leisure, cruising or performance. |

Caution:
Always take into account the total displacement of the fully loaded boat. This weight is often 20% higher than the displacement of the light boat. So make sure you don't select a pilot who will constantly be working at the limit of his or her capabilities. If you select your pilot with safety in mind, he'll remain operational in bad weather.
