The EV100 Wheel autopilot is designed for sailboats. The Raymarine Evolution systems take the measure of their environment, then instantly calculate and apply helm commands for an unrivalled level of performance. The Evolution autopilot is absolutely simple, with no set-up procedures or compass calibration. It comes with a fully fixed MkII drive system for easy installation. Complete with everything you need for easy installation, the Evolution EV100 Wheel is quick to install and simple to use.

THE EV-1 CENTRAL SENSORThe main component of the pilot is the EV-1, a 9-axis sensor that monitors the vessel's movements in all three dimensions. The EV-1 sensor is a major innovation that combines state-of-the-art transistorized sensors and an autopilot processor in a single housing. Install the EV1 central sensor on or below deck. The robust housing is totally hermetic and complies with IPX6 and IPX7 waterproofing standards. |

Caution:
Always take into account the total displacement of the fully loaded boat. This weight is often 20% higher than the displacement of the light boat. So make sure you don't select a pilot who will constantly be working at the limit of his or her capabilities. If you select your pilot with safety in mind, he'll remain operational in bad weather.

Is-what the autopilot consumes a lot of electricity?

Hello Sacha, power consumption is announced at 300 mA in standby mode at 12V. In operation, consumption varies according to drive and load, but remains within normal values for a driver of this type.
