CALYPSO - WIRELESS WIND VANE ANEMOMETER - THE BLUETOOTH SENSOR

The calypso anemometer wind vane is easy to install and use. Thanks to its wireless connectivity, you can place your wind vane anywhere on your boat. Receive all information on your phone or tablet via the mobile application available on Google Play and Appstore. You can install it on a carbon or aluminum pole (pole not supplied, available as an option).


	MULTIPLE DATA The Calypso wind vane features an ultrasonic sensor. With no moving parts, this sensor is not fragile. With the wireless ultrasonic wind vane Calypso you'll have the following information at your fingertips: Apparent wind speed and angle True wind speed and angle (calculated using GPS smartphone/tablet information for wireless version) True wind direction (calculated via GPS smartphone/tablet information for wireless version). This information is invaluable for correcting course according to wind strength.

AUTONOMY AND OPERATION There are two operating modes for the Calypso windvane: Standby mode, when the windvane is not used and does not send back information. Under these circumstances, the battery will last for one year. In "measurement" mode, the battery will last for about 30 days. For recharging, the wind vane is equipped with a solar panel that charges a small internal battery.

	LOW-ENERGY BLUETOOTH Information can be read on a mobile device (tablet or smartphone) connected to the windvane via Bluetooth. This is Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which consumes very little energy. The range between the mobile and the windvane is 30m maximum. The connection doesn't break even when you're in the cabin. For fleet navigation, the windvane can only be paired with one mobile at a time. To read the data, Calypso offers a free app to download onto your mobile (iOS and Android). This app not only gives wind strength and direction, but also allows you to configure and calibrate the equipment. Download the "anemotracker" direction app via the Appstore or Google Play.
