The S2009 from Simrad is a CHIRP fishfinder with a 9" screen and a beautiful vertical design for perfect readability of the water column. Combined with CHIRP-compatible Broadband sounder technology, it's the perfect combination for a high-performance, quality sounder. Supplied without probe to give you as much choice as possible to find the ideal combination.

SIMRAD - S2009 - THE PERFECT COMBINATION


	CHIRP probe technology uses frequency-swept pulses, offering higher resolution, improved target separation and better image clarity than traditional probes. The Simrad technology takes full advantage not only of specific CHIRP probes, but also of traditional single-frequency probes. Boats equipped with a compatible transducer can benefit from CHIRP technology simply by installing a sounder module from the S2000 range, at a particularly low cost. The S2009 sounder from Simrad can be combined with CHIRP on the 28-38kHz, 40-60kHz, 85-145kHz frequency ranges, and with broadband on the fixed frequencies 28kHz, 38kHz 50kHz, 83kHz, 200kHz.

The size of the S2009 is optimized for small spaces and, thanks to its compact 9" screen, is ideal for center consoles. The screen's vertical orientation is perfectly suited to sport fishing, as it displays the water column in high detail and makes it easy to distinguish isolated fish echoes, as well as other key features.

	If you've used your sounder in heavy swell conditions, you'll no doubt have noticed a wavy or sinuous pattern in the seabed represented on your screen. Swell compensation works with a compatible satellite compass, such as the Simrad HS60 or HS70 (not included), to eliminate the vertical effects of wave action on depth measurements. The sinuous distortion that appears on the screen is taken into account, boosting bottom-finding accuracy in difficult conditions.
