S2016 depth sounder

DEEP 2D SOUNDER

The S2016 can read probes up to 1kW in 50/200 kHz frequencies. Detection accuracy is determined by the frequency according to the depth you are exploring.

• The 200kHz frequency is optimal at depths of less than 60 meters, and provides an accurate display even when the vessel is moving at high speed. The image is more detailed, enabling detection of very small objects.

• The 50kHz frequency is preferable at greater depths, up to 150m. Beam width is narrower than at 200khz, but allows deeper sounding.

TRADITIONAL CHIRP TECHNOLOGY

The S2016 features traditional CHIRP echo sounder: one of the most innovative technologies on the market. It delivers razor-sharp images with outstanding definition and target separation.

CHIRP technology delivers:

• Denser information and sharper, high-resolution images.
• Better target separation and sharper rendering of fish arches.
• Improved bottom tracking and fish detection even at high speed.

The integrated single-channel CHIRP sounder module can operate any high-frequency CHIRP sounder, for detection down to 270m (manufacturer's data).

NETWORKING

Connect an MO series display from Simrad or any other compatible display to the S2016's HDMI output to create a secondary sounder display that mirrors the built-in display.

This way, you can easily benefit from sounder visibility at another station, without having to use a second dedicated sounder or multifunction display.

EASY TO USE

Simple to install, the unit connects to its power supply and to the sounder via quick-release plugs. The menu has been simplified for fast learning and instant efficiency. Thanks to the new auto-settings feature, which adjusts sounder settings as fishing conditions change, you'll be able to focus solely on your fishing trip.

Its elongated panoramic display gives you access to more information and better legibility for quick detection of fish echoes or bottom detail.

SWELL COMPENSATION

Swell compensation works with a compatible satellite compass, such as Simrad HS60 or HS70, to eliminate the vertical effects of wave action on depth measurements.

The sinuous distortion that appears on the screen is taken into account, enhancing bottom-finding accuracy in difficult conditions.
