Once connected to the Garmin Messenger on your cell phone, you'll find a simple, fun interface for chatting with friends and family. The optimized messaging of Garmin inReach Messenger Plus gives preference to the cellular network if the-is available, otherwise it automatically switches to the Iridium satellite network.

The internal rechargeable lithium battery ensures long autonomy. The-this guarantees up to 5 days' use in tracking mode at 2-minute intervals, so you can extend all your activities and adventures between recharges. In more detail, the battery life of the inReach Messenger Plus is as follows:

• Up to 120 hours (5 days) with SMS or position sending every 2 minutes in low-power mode; 70 hours (2.9 days) in performance mode.
• Up to 600 hours (25 days) with SMS or position sending every 10 minutes in low-power mode; 110 hours (4.5 days) in performance mode.
• Up to 250 multimedia messages sent on a single battery charge.
