Sleipner - Side-Power - External stern thruster SX80 / Ø185 mm

Designed with a focus on performance, reliability, safety and ease of use, this compact Sleipner Side-Power SX80 electric thruster is intended for boats up to 15 metres and provides 80 to 96 kg of thrust.

It features various protection systems, including automatic shutdown of the control after use, thermal protection integrated into the motor, reverse thrust delay protection and protection against prolonged operation: maximum operating time of 3 min, with on/off control.

The SX80 uses special cowls to ensure reliable performance by directing the water flow beyond the stern drive units. Particularly suitable for twin-engine installations, it is recommended to use tunnel deflectors when the draught is limited to redirect the water flow.


	Thruster design IPC control system (Intelligent Power Control) : Improves thruster reliability and safety. If the relay becomes stuck during operation, the thruster is automatically stopped. Sealed gearleg: sealed gearleg supplied pre-filled with oil. The propeller shaft is sealed with a ceramic/graphite mechanical seal for maximum reliability. Twin Propeller : twin-propeller system providing greater thrust than a single-propeller system with the same tunnel diameter. Q-PROP : 5-blade propeller with an asymmetrical skewed profile. Provides approximately 5% more thrust while reducing noise levels. Ignition protection : complies with ISO 8846 for safe operation in hazardous environments where petrol vapours or other flammable gases may be present. Analogue : analogue signal cables with colour-coded Plug & Play connectors matching the wiring diagrams to ensure correct installation.
