With the Simrad RS40 VHF, navigate in complete safety and stay in touch with the outside world. This sleek VHF features an integrated GPS and is ASN Class D approved. Avoid collisions with other boats thanks to the AIS function.


	NAVIGATION MODE Press the NAV button on the RS40 to transform it into a navigation instrument displaying your speed and course. The RS40 also features a Man Overboard (MOB) function. Press and hold the NAV / MOB button to delete a waypoint at your current position. The RS40 will enter MOB mode to show you your distance and where you need to move to. The MOB waypoint is also transmitted via NMEA 2000 to the rest of your network.

INTEGRATED GPS With the built-in GPS receiver, the RS40 now has a way of making sure you have a GPS fix in case of emergency.

	BUILT-IN AIS RECEIVER A dual-channel AIS receiver monitors the position of nearby vessels equipped with an AIS transmitter, helping you to avoid collisions in crowded waterways. AIS information can be viewed on the RS40's built-in display, or overlaid on your GPS or compatible radar display.

UPGRADEABLE WIRELESS HANDSET Add an optional wireless handset (available in the Dual Station Pack version) to take your radio anywhere. The HS40 handset has been designed as an intuitive, portable companion to the RS40. Each handset duplicates the display and controls of your radio, allowing remote access to all key functions. Having several handsets also allows the RS40 to become a practical on-board intercom.
