SPOTLOCK, AUTOPILOT, AND REMOTE CONTROL

With the SpotLock GPS feature, the Minn Kota PowerDrive2 70 lbs automatically keeps the boat at a saved position. It adjusts its direction and thrust to compensate for drift caused by wind or current. This is convenient for staying at a fishing spot without having to operate the controls.

The AutoPilot feature allows you to follow a set course. The motor then adjusts its trajectory to maintain the chosen direction, even when wind or current causes the boat to drift.

• Propeller: Start or stop the motor.
• Speed control: increase or decrease speed.
• SpotLock: automatically hold the boat at a GPS position.
• AutoPilot: Follow a course while compensating for wind and current drift.

LAUNCHING AND BATTERY GAUGE

The PowerDrive2 is equipped with a lever to assist with launching and retrieving. A simple push deploys the motor. At the end of your session, simply operate the lever to raise and lock it in the stowed position before resuming navigation.

A built-in gauge also lets you check the battery charge level with the push of a button.

WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY AND ONE BOAT NETWORK

The PowerDrive2 can be controlled remotely thanks to its wireless connectivity. It’s also compatible with the One Boat Network ecosystem, which allows the motor to communicate with select compatible Humminbird, and Minn Kota equipment.

With the Minn Kota Fishing app, you can control the motor from a compatible smartphone without having to go to the bow of the boat.

• Draw & Navigate: Draw a route for the motor to follow.
• Humminbird Integration: Access navigation features with compatible devices.

This allows you to plan a trip to a fishing spot or follow a route to explore an area, all while controlling the motor remotely.

WHAT SHAFT LENGTH SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

The shaft length is determined by the height of the bow relative to the waterline. If the shaft is too short, the propeller may not remain sufficiently submerged, especially in rough water. Before choosing your motor, take the following measurements:

• Measure the distance between the bow of the boat and the waterline.
• Add 30 cm to this measurement if you’re fishing in rough water.
