The Simrad RECON GPS front motor is specially designed for sea fishing. The joystick remote control and NMEA2000 connectivity offer maximum control and precision on the water, while being ultra-silent with the Brushless motor.

Powered by 24 or 36V, its power varies between 80 and 110 Lbs. The Simrad RECON 54" seaward motor features a 137 cm motor shaft, but is also available with longer shafts : 152 cm or 182 cm.

To feed this electric motor for boats, , BSR has designed lithium cases, 24V/100Ah or 36V/100Ah , specially designed for brushless motors (other models of lithium cases BSR are not compatible).

Range Simrad RECON

Recon engines Simrad is equipped with a weedless propeller to cut through undergrowth-like algae. The motor head incorporates LED indicators (battery indicator, connection...) and retro controls-Illuminated (start/stop...).

The motor shaft is indestructible and guaranteed for life, thanks to its composite and carbon fiber construction. It incorporates a system for easy stowage and deployment, and a clamp for adjusting the shaft length.

Remote control Simrad FreeSteer

Control your boat 360° with the remote control Simrad FreeSteer. Bluetooth and floating, it features a 2" LCD screen. There are 10 buttons, including 2 programmable ones, but above all a joystick for incredible control and precision !

The FreeSteer remote control revolutionizes position control by offering the ability to move anchor positions freely, in any direction, without having to re-anchor the boat.

Anglers can also jog diagonally in 8 directions, in increments of ~1.5 m (5 ft).

Hold the joystick in any direction and the motor Simrad Recon will align itself and gradually increase its speed to navigate in proportion to the position of the joystick. Release the joystick to drop the anchor at the new location.

What is the shaft length of the RECON motor ?

It is crucial to choose the right shaft length for the motor Simrad Recon according to your boat. If it's too short, the propeller won't be submerged enough. Comptoir Nautique recommends :

Measure the distance between the bow and the waterline.
Add 10 cm to the waterline measurement for rough water fishing.
Add 30 cm to the waterline measurement to steer a hand-operated motor while standing in the boat.
