Hi, I recently bought a Striker Vivid and I'm having a few problems connecting it to the battery correctly. The power cable supplied with the device has 4 wires of different colors: brown, blue, black and red. I'd like to know which wires I should connect to the battery's positive and negative terminals. What should-I do with the remaining 2 wires?
On the other hand, I noticed a yellow terminal on the back of the unit's screen. Could-you tell me what it does?

Hello, to connect the Striker Vivid device to the battery, you need to connect :
- The red wire to the positive (+) battery terminal
- The black wire to the negative terminal (-) of the battery
The other two wires, brown and blue, are not required for basic power supply. You can insulate them with a piece of tape to prevent them from shorting-circuiter.
These brown and blue wires are actually used for data communication between your device and another model in the same range, should you wish to use this advanced feature.
Concerning the yellow lug on the back of the device, this is the "ground lug", and must be connected to ground.

Hello, the GT52HW-TM probe cable supplied with the Striker Vivid 7SV is 6 meters long.
If you need to extend this cable, you will need the 12pins probe extension, available in 3m or 9m.

Hi Xavier, we offer 3 different options with the Striker Vivid 7 SV.
- Firstly, there's a version with the screen only, without probe
- A version with the display + a GT51M-TH through-beam probe with SideVü function
- Finally, we offer the display with a GT52HW-TM SideVü transom probe

However, unlike the EchoMAP range, it does not have a map reader function.

Hi Arnaud, unfortunately as the sounder doesn't have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity you can't pair your smartphone or tablet.
