TRADITIONAL CHIRP TECHNOLOGY

The GPSMAP 8700 Black Box Garmin is compatible with traditional CHIRP echo sounder: one of the most innovative technologies on the market. It gives you razor-sharp images with outstanding definition and target separation.

CHIRP technology delivers :

• Denser information and sharper, high-resolution images
• Better target separation and sharper rendering of fish arches
• Improved bottom tracking and fish detection even at high speed

The CHIRP 1000W dual-channel sounder module lets you use wide frequency ranges. Use a Low sounder for great depths, a Medium sounder for fishing zones from 80m to 200m, and a High sounder for shallows from 0m to 80m.

CLEARVÜ CHIRP TECHNOLOGY

ClearVü technology is the most powerful on the market. It provides extremely realistic , high-quality, near-photographic images of everything that happens under the boat. This ultra-precise function lets you see structures, fish and submerged objects.

With ClearVü technology you can :

• See thermoclines : the boundary between water layers and oxygen-rich zones
• Identify fish : no room for interpretation, it identifies clearly.
• Reveal structures : wrecks, vegetation, bridge piers, moorings...

SIDEVÜ CHIRP TECHNOLOGY

SideVü technology lets you see what's happening on both sides of the boat. You'll be able to spot structures and, above all, fish. It's precise, with a highly detailed , high-resolution image .

This function allows you to locate fishing areas more quickly, thanks to an extremely wide 180° scanning field.

• LiveVü Forward : Spot what's happening in front of your boat in real time

• LiveVÜ Down : Real-time display of feeder fish balls and predators under the boat's hull (distance and depth)

• RealVü 3D Historical : 3D view of the entire water column and fish (as the boat moves)

• RealVü 3D Down : Scans the entire water column (fore and aft), a 3D display even when the boat is stationary.

GARMIN NETWORK AND NMEA 2000

The Garmin Black Box GPSMAP 8700 integrates with your marine system's network to add radar functions, autopilot, sensors ... It also supports FLIR cameras, GRID keyboard, FUSION-Link audio system, VIRB camera broadcasting and much more.

Integrated Wi-Fi functions enable use of the ActiveCaptain application . With SmartMode, access the information you need quickly and directly in stressful situations such as anchoring or mooring. It lets you share data between all network-compatible devices.

THE BEST MAPS

GPSMAP 8700 BlackBox Garmin gives you the best maps : BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision. These maps include all Navionics data, autoguiding technology and many other options. Use a microSD card (max. 32 GB) to store all your maps.

You'll need to add a Garmin card reader (sold separately), which allows remote installation and provides an access point for 2 SD cards for mapping or personal data.

You can add several card readers for additional access points. A waterproof magnetic door allows horizontal or vertical mounting of the card reader .

QUICKDRAW FUNCTION

Quickdraw Contours software creates HD fishing maps in real time. It's now possible to create your own maps without any special knowledge.

The GPSMAP 87000 is compatible with Quickdraw software, so you can store the equivalent of 8,000 km² of Quickdraw Contours maps with bathymetric curves displayed every 30 cm.

Download maps or share your own by connecting via WI-FI to the free ActiveCaptain application. Receive on-screen notifications of new echosounder updates via the app.
