	Minn Kota PRO batteries Unlike simple starter batteries, the acid contained in Minn Kota PRO Calcium / Calcium technology batteries is captured by specific, reinforced separators. This manufacturing method ensures excellent capacity for slow, deep discharges and high capacity for a large number of cycles. PRO Minn Kota batteries are also highly resistant to vibration, watertight and feature a "magic eye" voltage indicator. The calcium battery is a lead-acid battery with no antimony in its grids. Instead, a calcium component (approx. 1%) is added to the positive and negative plates. This reduces water loss through gassing in the battery and allows the battery container to be fully sealed and maintenance-free.
