With theActive Target 2 Lowrance, it becomes even more easier to catch fish. It offers live images of fish and bottom structures with a outstanding high-resolution image quality, clearer and smoother for better interpretation of what's going on underwater.

Find out how and where the fish are placed, and identify their direction of travel. Active Target 2 combines three high views-resolution : follow the fish in front of and under your boat with Forward & Down views, or use the Scout to display a ultra image-large of the structure under-and fish activity on your bow.

The ability to observe and watch fish react to your lure in real time, you will enable it to be adjusted as quickly and efficiently as possible which will make all the difference and no doubt help you catch even more fish.

Active Target 2 includes all brackets for installation on front electric motor:

  • Tree support for Forward, Down and Scout
  • Motor support for Forward and Down views
  • Motor support for a view Scout

Active Target 2 is compatible with combined sounders Lowrance HDS PRO, , HDS LIVE and ELITE FS .

HDS Pro: Several views at once

When combined with the HDS Pro from Lowrance, l'Active Target 2 enables add a second probe Active Target 2 to obtain multiple simultaneous views on a single screen.

You can then activate views 180 and Scout Wide for more effective tracking of fishing lures at the front of the boat.

You can monitor several views at the same time (from Forward, Down and Scout), and activate additional Forward + Back and Scout Wide, displaying 180-degree images for greater more effective tracking of fish and bait at the bow of the boat.

  • View Scout + Forward : The Scout and Forward mode at the same time, without interference.
  • View Scout Wide : Dual mode Scout to double sounder coverage around the boat (additional support required)
  • View 180 : 180-degree view from front to back in a single image.

⚠️ Please note that you will need to equip yourself with a support, a module and a probe Active Target 2.

How does ActiveTarget 2 work, and what exactly does-it do?

The ActiveTarget 2 is a high-resolution "live" sonar that lets you see fish and structure (bottom, obstacles) around, under or in front of your boat in real time.

You can see how fish react to your lure and adjust your fishing immediately. In particular, it offers several view modes: "Down" (under the boat), "Forward" (in front) and "Scout" (wide or aerial view in front) to spot fish or schools.

How compatible is ActiveTarget 2 with other equipment?

ActiveTarget 2 is compatible with Lowrance HDS PRO, HDS LIVE, HDS Carbon and Elite FS multifunction displays.

The module connects via an Ethernet port (100 Mbit) and operates on a 10.8 V to 31.2 V DC power supply.

If you wish to use two ActiveTarget 2 assemblies to have two simultaneous views (e.g. "Forward + Scout" or "180°"), this is possible.

We've also created special packs that include a 360° boom, available in various lengths to suit your needs.

If you only want the probe without the sounder module, this is possible: the corresponding reference is: 000-15962-001

Can-ActiveTarget 2 be used at sea?

Yes, the ActiveTarget 2 probe is IP67 waterproof and designed to operate in both fresh and salt water.

A few precautions:

  • Rinse equipment in fresh water after each use.
  • Check and clean fixings and cables to prevent corrosion.

The sounder module must remain protected from water on board the boat.

How do I install the Active Target 2 + sounder module on my boat?

The pack consists of 2 parts to be installed:

  • The sounder module must be mounted on board, in a dry, ventilated, accessible place, protected from splashing water. Leave some space around it for cables and cooling.
  • The sounder can be mounted on the shaft or on the head of the front electric motor, but the preferred mounting for anglers is on a 360° pole. The orientation determines the view: downwards, forwards or in Scout mode.
