The alternator installed on the main engine is used to fully charge the starter battery. So it's not the best for charging other batteries quickly and well, especially if you want to charge them in a short time or when they require more power.

There are two solutions to this problem:

• Install a charge regulator on the standard alternator. This will make the existing alternator work with 3-step charging technology instead of its standard 1-step method: the batteries will be charged faster and better.
  
  
• Take a second Alpha power alternator with charge regulator. This combination is specially designed for charging service batteries, so you can charge fast and stop your engine when you arrive.

The alternator features forced cooling through the action of the pulley fan, offering more power even at high temperatures. What's more, it comes with a variety of mountingsto suit customers ' customized brackets.
