The empty radome from Raymarine solves a problem of aesthetics and visual balance on the boat. To compensate for the installation of an antenna, you can install an empty antenna on the opposite side.

But the empty radome can also be used to hide a GPS antenna, or to balance when you have another type of antenna like Fleet Broadband (smaller), you switch the electronics in the empty radome to have two antennas identical in appearance.
