The BPS-1 is a 12-volt ultrasonic antifouling system that helps prevent marine organisms from attaching to a boat’s submerged surfaces. Its transducer emits frequencies ranging from 20 to 42 kHz through the hull to make it more difficult for biofilm and marine fouling to form.
The BPS-1 acts preventively and operates continuously. It is installed from inside the boat, without drilling through the hull. It can protect the hull as well as certain components such as propellers, rudders, or stabilizers.

ULTRASONIC ANTIFOULING PROTECTIONThe BPS-1 uses a transducer mounted directly on the inner surface of the hull. The ultrasonic waves are then transmitted through the boat’s structure. These microscopic vibrations make it difficult for micro-organisms—which cause biofilm and marine fouling—to adhere.
The BPS-s 1 is not intended to clean a hull that is already fouled. It must be installed and commissioned on a clean hull. The system then operates continuously to limit the reappearance of marine organisms. |
