FORWARD SOUNDER TECHNOLOGY

You've heard of forward sounder technology, or Livescope Forward, Forward Scan... But what is a forward sounder?

Forward-looking fishfinders are divided into 3 groups:

• Live fishfinders (real time), which offer a real-time sounder view. View your lure, graze and prey live.
• Anti-fishing forwardsounders. Extremely useful for safe navigation in unfamiliar areas or for finding the ideal anchorage. They let you see the bottom ahead of the boat in real time.
• Fishfinders for sea fishing. Ideal for tuna fishing, so you can always cast your lure in the right direction and never miss a fish.

What are real-time fishfinders?

LVS32, LVS34, LVS62XR or Sonde Mega Live are LIVE or real-time fishfinders offering unrivalled clarity and image quality.

They are scanning fishfinders that allow you to see in real time what's happening ahead of the boat (Forward view), as well as under it (Down view). Unlike a conventional sounder, which has a time lag between what you see on the screen and what's happening in front of or under the boat, a LIVE sounder displays live with an HD image.

So you can follow your lure downstream and even see when a fish has taken the bait.

Images refresh instantly, even when stationary. It's impossible to miss the smallest detail of what's going on underwater.

A real-time sounder can be mounted on the boat's hull (transom, through-hull), but also on a pole depending on your type of fishing, and even on a front electric motor... Numerous accessories are available for mounting your real-time sounder.

Anti-fishing forward sounder

A forward-looking sounder lets you see the bottom as you move forward, in real time. It will detect dangers such as a sudden rise in the seabed, rocks, etc. that could damage your yacht's keel. Also useful for finding the ideal anchorage.

The PS51-TH with FRONTVÜ technology offers real added safety when sailing at low speed. It will help you avoid obstacles in unfamiliar waters.

During navigation, you'll have a live view of the seabed in front of the boat, as well as depth and danger zones, enabling you to anticipate any maneuvers.

Of course, you'll also be able to see the fish on your multifunction displays thanks to this transducer and the LiveVü Forward mode.

Forward sounder for sea fishing

Ideal for tuna fishing, the PS31 Forward forward sounder will be very useful for grayling fishing. Once you've thrown your bait mixture overboard, all you have to do is wait for your prey to follow the trail back to the boat, where you'll wait for them with your lines.

The probe will allow you to follow the broumé with your lure so that it's always in the baited area, but also to see the fish appear and bait them with your lure or jig right under their noses.
