The SeaTalk interface was developed by Autohelm in the 90s, and was installed in most Raymarine and Autohelm products until 2012. As a result, there are thousands of boats around the world with a SeaTalk1 network, and many of them wish to receive SeaTalk1 data on a computer (Windows, Mac or Linux).

The SeaTalk USB converter Digital Yacht is a small but very powerful converter that provides bi-directional conversion between the SeaTalk network and a computer's USB interface .

The SeaTalk USB converter takes its power from the SeaTalk network and features a SeaTalk 1 and USB 2.0 interface, enabling navigation data from the SeaTalk 1 network to be used with navigation software .

The Digital Yacht converter is also available in Seatalk-NMEA.

For developers and advanced users who wish to access raw SeaTalk data, the converter can also be configured in 'Raw Data' mode ($STALK) so that data can be used in Open Source projects.
