The SeaTalk interface was developed by Autohelm in the 90s, and was installed in most Raymarine and Autohelm products until 2012. As a result, there are thousands of boats around the world with a SeaTalk1 network, and many of them want to add an NMEA0183 instrument to their SeaTalk network.
For example, with this converter, you can connect a NMEA0183-Wi-Fi server (such as the WNL10 or WLN30) to your SeaTalk network and retrieve SeaTalk1 data from your navigation applications on your tablet and smartphone.
