The inflatable IOR pole Plastimo incorporates a 0.75 cd Flash light at the top for enhanced visibility in the dark.

This Flash light is automatically activated once the pole comes into contact with water, and then operates for 8 hours (lithium battery).

It features a handle for easy gripping and an adjustable webbing seat to support the weight of a man overboard. This enables a person who has fallen overboard to hold on or sit down.

The pole is also fitted with a whistle to attract extra attention.

A rigid ballast with V-shaped reinforcements ensures the pole's stability, and a floating anchor (28 x 28 cm) prevents it from drifting.

Finally, a yellow and red man-overboard flag (32 x 20 cm) and reflective strips (200 cm²) optimize the visibility of the inflatable IOR pole Plastimo.

Deploying the IOR boom

The IOR Plastimo signaling pole is delivered in a white ABS case (49 x Ø13 cm) connected by a rope to a stand. In the event of an emergency, the box can be quickly and easily released from the bracket.

Then throw the box in the direction of the person who has fallen overboard. The tension exerted on the rope triggers percussion, releasing the buoy (which is no longer attached to the support). The box floats and is attached to the buoy.

For quick access to the inflatable IOR pole Plastimo, Comptoir Nautique recommends hanging it from a balcony using the tube attachment kit (sold separately).
