The dual-control selector is essential for control stations with two single-lever controls , but can also be used with dual-lever controls for greater efficiency .
It is used to block one of the cables when the other is activated . The selector is mounted on the reverser cable to control forward and reverse .
It consists of a metal housing to accommodate the control cables , and a movable plate to block one of the cables .
WARNING: before changing gear, the gas pedal must always be at idle and the reverser in neutral .
