• Mark the locations where you want to attach the inserts to the hull
• Make a Ø 4 mm hole at each location to center the drilling
• Enlarge the hole to Ø 12 mm with a suitable drill bit
• Apply silicone (e.g. SIKA) around the insert to ensure a perfect seal
• Screw in the self-tapping insert using a screwdriver and the appropriate allen bit, exerting sufficient pressure to ensure that the insert does not spring back
