ADVANSEA - AIS TR-210 - AIS COMPACT

AIS TR-210

Compact, waterproof AIS Class B transceiver for transmitting and receiving AIS information from a pleasure boat.

Registration is as simple as entering the MMSI number and some boat information, using the PC software supplied.

The AIS TR-210 connects to the GPS chartplotter via its NMEA 0183 interface, and to your PC via the USB connection. This AIS has an internal GPS antenna.

WHAT IS AIS?

AIS is a communication system which, via a transmitter, transmits information to other vessels also equipped with a receiver. The information sent is :

  • Course
  • Speed
  • Its characteristics
  • Position via GPS connection
  • The ship's identity, thanks to its MMSI number and name

With AIS, you can obtain information, identify and contact the vessels around you. You can also spot vessels invisible to the naked eye and sail peacefully.

RECEIVER OR TRANSPONDER?

It's advisable to use an AIS transponder for longer voyages, for greater vigilance and safety on board.

For those who don't sail much, we still advise you to equip yourself with an AIS receiver so you're always safe when you're at sea.
