Simplifies connections
The Junction Box acts as a central point for easily connecting the AIS A200 transponder to various on-board electronic equipment, such as :
- GPS and VHF antennas
- Multifunction displays (MFDs)
- Computers or tablets
- Other navigation instruments such as radar or echo sounder
It allows cabling to be organized neatly and securely. It offers dedicated connection points for powering the transponder and other connected peripherals. This guarantees a stable power supply and avoids interruptions due to poorly made connections.
By grouping all connections together in one place, the Junction Box enables problems to be identified quickly in the event of a fault. If a cable is faulty, it's easier to locate and replace.
It protects cables from physical damage (pinching, pulling, etc.) and contributes to their durability in marine environments.
