Choice of GHC 20 or GHC 50 controller

You can choose between two pilot controllers, the GHC 20 or the GHC 50.

Control your autopilot with the GHC 20 console. With its large 4" color display and 170° readability, it's easy to read, even from a distance.

Thanks to its bonded, anti-reflective glass screen, it improves contrast in bright sunlight and also prevents the screen from fogging up.

If you're looking for a slightly larger, touch-sensitive screen, and the ability to connect to the Garmin local network via wifi, opt for the GHC 50 pilot console, with its 5" touch-sensitive screen and fluid new interface.

THE CCU: THE REACTOR 40'S BRAIN

The Course Computer Unit (CCU) is used to determine heading and engine speed. With its advanced 9-axis solid-state attitude and heading reference system (AHRS), it offers virtually unlimited mounting possibilities, whatever the orientation.

At the same time, this new system considerably reduces heading errors, course deviations, helm movements and power consumption, while providing optimum on-board sailing comfort.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT

The robust electronic control unit provides a reliable and stable power supply to the autopilot.

No autopilot spares you the trouble of commissioning and calibration. Aware that electronic equipment shouldn't get in the way of taking to the sea, Garmin has reduced and simplified this step as much as possible. That's the power of simplicity.

SHADOW DRIVE MODULE

Take the helm again at any time without having to reactivate your autopilot with the Shadow Drive module.

This autopilot features patented Shadow Drive technology. When you move the helm, the system deactivates the autopilot itself. You'll be able to maneuver your boat freely.

Afterwards, the autopilot reactivates itself when your boat returns to a straight course.

REACTOR 40 WIRING KIT

Connected to an NMEA0183 or NMEA2000-compatible chartplotter, the Reactor autopilot will follow the programmed route or recorded course perfectly.

In addition, with a compatible Garmin chartplotter and G2 Vision, G3 and G3 Vision charts, you benefit from optional features such as auto guidance, which automatically calculates the best route to take to reach your destination.

This kit includes the following items:
