Designed for speedboats and sailboats, the autopilot Garmin Reactor 40 for hydraulic steering is simply the most responsive ever imagined. The Must! The Reactor 40 has all the functions you need for sailing or motoring: course keeping, wind mode, feathering/tacking and much more. No matter what the sea state, this pilot stays on course with deadly accuracy!

Connect your chartplotter to autopilot via NMEA2000 for total control. With BlueChart G3 charts on your Garmin chartplotter, you'll benefit from the autoguidance system: automatically follow the route created by your GPS. If you don't have a GPS Garmin, you can still connect it to the NMEA2000 or NMEA0183 bus via the optional 010-11129-00 cable .



THE CCU: THE BRAIN OF THE REACTOR 40

The Course Computer Unit (CCU) is used to determine course and engine speed.

With its advanced 9-axis semi-conductor attitude and heading reference system (AHRS), it offers virtually unlimited mounting possibilities, whatever the orientation.

At the same time, this new system considerably reduces heading errors, course deviations, helm movements and power consumption, while providing optimum on-board navigation comfort.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT

The robust electronic control unit provides a reliable and stable power supply to autopilot.

No autopilot spares you the trouble of commissioning and calibration.

Aware that electronic equipment should not get in the way of your sailing experience, Garmin has reduced and simplified this step as much as possible. That's the power of simplicity.



SHADOW DRIVE MODULE

Take the helm again at any time without having to activate your autopilot with the Shadow Drive module.

This driver features patented Shadow Drive technology. When you activate the helm, the system deactivates-even autopilot. You'll be able to maneuver your boat freely.

Afterwards, autopilot reactivates itself when your boat returns to a straight course.

REACTOR 40 WIRING KIT

Connected to an NMEA0183 or NMEA2000 compatible chartplotter, the autopilot Reactor will follow the programmed route or recorded course perfectly.

In addition, with a compatible Garmin chartplotter and G2 Vision, G3 and G3 Vision charts, you can benefit from optional features such as auto guidance, which automatically calculates the best route to your destination.

This kit includes the following items:
