This relay enables two batteries to be charged simultaneously using a single alternator. When the engine is started, the Voltage Sensitive Relay remains open until the starter battery reaches 13.7 / 27 V. At this point, the Voltage Sensitive Relay closes the contact and simultaneously charges both batteries. When the engine is at a standstill and the voltage drops below 12.8 / 25.2 V, the Voltage Sensitive Relay opens the contact and separates the two batteries, to prevent erroneous battery discharge and to avoid current spikes damaging the on-board electronics when starting the engine. Protects the starter battery from being discharged by on-board services. No voltage drop. No stand-by consumption. Easy to install without modification to alternator wiring. Automatic 12/24 V selection.
