The high-power V8 vertical windlass deck unit Lewmar is the visible part of your windlass, the part on the deck of your boat. The headstock or capstan is used to facilitate the lifting of the chain and anchor.

⚠️ The high-power V8 vertical windlass deck unit is supplied with port headstock and remote friction band brake , and does not include the other parts needed to operate a windlass, i.e. the geared motor and sprocket.

LEWMAR - V8 HIGH-POWER DECK UNIT WITH PORT HEADSTOCK

The port headstock deck unit for the V8 windlass has the same features as the other windlasses in thev range but it is specifically designed for large boats beyond 33mand can only be used with a high-power geared motor (not supplied).

On this model, the chain outlet on the bridge unit is oriented so that the chain exits from the bridgeleft sideFromboatand enters the chain shaftTo the left.

What's more, it's made entirely of stainless steel, which makes it particularly resistant and stainless.

This model of V8 bridge unit includes a offset friction band brakewhich allows tighten or free the anchoring chain in creating a band from friction around the barbotin. It is located in distance of the bridge unit, usually on the bridge or in the chain well. It works with a brake cable (not supplied) which connects the brake at control unit.

V8 DECK UNIT: IDEAL FOR LARGE SHIPS

The V8 bridge unit is equipped with a trigger manual or motorized channel of your choice.

It also has a clutch à crabot which allows you to switch from manual mode Electric according to mooring requirements.

You'll also find a Ecubier remote which allows you to use any diameter from chain. Nevertheless, we recommend that you use a 14mm for the bridge unit.

These bridge units can be used with both electric and hydraulic gearmotors (not supplied).
