The removable hawse bar guides and holds the windlass chain to the seabed, preventing it from becoming tangled. It can also be used to divert the chain in installations where the chain hoist is offset.

The fact that it can be disassembled makes it much easier to remove for maintenance or replacement.

It is suitable for chain diameters ranging from 14 to 16mm.
