This cable is an NMEA0183 interface for establishing a bidirectional gateway between a network or NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 devices.

It is designed for installation of NMEA2000 devices on existing NMEA0183 networks. It allows mariners to easily upgrade to newer technology, sensors and devices without replacing an entire system .
