NKE - CARBOWIND HR II - THE HIGH-PERFORMANCE SENSOR FROM NKE
The-Carbowind II wind sensor is an instrument for measuring wind speed and direction. Easilyinstalled and removed from the masthead, it provides a corrected angle with a stored value for the windvane's mechanical offset. This correction is essential for correct display of apparent wind angle and true wind direction.
The long, rigid carbon pole enables the sensor to be positioned more than a metre above the masthead at-, away from disturbed wind fields. The carbon blade is extremely light and vibration-resistant. With its very low inertia and high responsiveness, this sensor is the ideal tool for sailors wishing to capture instantaneous variations in wind direction.
