Data sheet
Osculati - Grippy Basic mooring mud
Featuring 2 fully sealed chambers, where the electronic and mechanical components reside, a design that avoids salt damage. Extremely light and compact, 200 mm in diameter and 1.2-1.5 kg in weight.
The ABR version features a revolutionary technology that blocks the slip of the line when GRIPPY exceeds 90° of inclination during anchor retrieval, enabling the mooring buoy to be retrieved directly using its line without the use of a boat hook.
The end of GRIPPY's rope is connected to the anchor's diamond, which automatically unwinds as it sinks to the seabed.
The length of the rope self-adjusts according to the height of the water, so that GRIPPY always floats in line with the anchor's vertical axis, making it easy to locate. At night, GRIPPY automatically switches on its solar-charged light beacons (LIGHT, HEAVY and ABR versions).
In the event of a stuck anchor, it can be freed by retrieving the rope, whose tensile strength is greater than 500 kg (BASIC and LIGHT) or 1200 kg (HEAVY and ABR). When retrieving the anchor, GRIPPY automatically rewinds the rope, positioning itself under the boat's bow. For added convenience, GRIPPY is equipped with a railing support (LIGHT, HEAVY and ABR versions) and a removable light beacon.
