No. Deeper creates a direct Wi-Fi connection with your phone. You don't need Internet or a SIM card.

Yes, the Deeper is waterproof and can be used in both fresh and salt water (it must be rinsed after each use in the sea). It's also designed to withstand minor knocks, but don't throw or drop it.

Yes, it's possible on some models. Here's how, depending on the model:
For Deeper PRO and PRO+:
- Activate Narrow beam.
- Set sensitivity to 75% or higher.
- Select "Detailed" mode in the Deeper application.
For Deeper CHIRP:
- Choose High CHIRP or Mid CHIRP beam.
- Set sensitivity to 75%.
- Use the "Detailed" mode.
The thermocline will be visible as a horizontal line on your phone screen (in the Deeper application).

Does the Wi-Fi connection on Deeper remain stable while fishing?

The Wi-Fi connection between Deeper and the phone is generally stable in good conditions (without obstacles, interference or too great a distance).
However, some users occasionally notice brief interruptions or connection difficulties, especially if :
- Deeper is too far away from the phone (the actual range is around 50 to 100 m, depending on the model and environment),
- the phone has a lot of applications open, or the battery is low,
- there is interference (buildings, trees, other Wi-Fi devices nearby).
To greatly improve the range and stability of your wifi network, if your conditions are not ideal, we recommend the Wifi Range Booster Kit, which extends the range up to 200m.
