The Compas 9X is a precision sensor comparable to an inertial unit, fusing data from accelerometers, gyrometers and magnetometers in real time. It delivers true orientation in 3D space: heading, heel and pitch. Movement and orientation are available at a frequency of 25 Hz.

The 9X compass replaces the Regatta compass: more powerful, less expensive and easier to install. The 9X compass connects directly to the BUS. It operates over a wider range of heights, with greater responsiveness. On the other hand, calibration is more demanding, but for better results. Update Multigraphic to at least V2.5 to start calibration.

9-AXIS COMPASS

In pilot mode, compass heading is instantly corrected for boat acceleration. If the installation includes a Gyropilot, combining the pilot (already equipped with a gyrometer) with the 9X Compass improves steering precision.

In regattas, integrated into the Topline bus, it improves the accuracy of true wind angle and speed by correcting wind measurements for the boat's heel. The heel calculation is used to correct the apparent wind speed and therefore all calculations for true wind.
