The HS65 Simrad is a GNSS compass designed to provide reliable heading information to onboard electronic equipment. It integrates easily into an NMEA 2000 network and enhances the performance of a autopilot, radar overlays, and compatible navigation systems.

Its GNSS technology makes it immune to magnetic interference generated by the boat’s environment. In the event of a temporary signal loss, its backup functions ensure that usable heading data is maintained for connected devices.

ACCURATE HEADING EVEN WHEN AT A STANDSTILL

The HS65 provides accurate heading data whether the boat is underway or at rest. Unlike a conventional magnetic compass, it is not affected by metal objects or electromagnetic interference on board.

NAVIGATION SAFETY

The HS65 Simrad features two backup systems to maintain heading information when the GNSS signal becomes unavailable. Dead reckoning initially takes over during temporary outages. If the outage persists, a magnetic backup ensures the continuity of data sent to the network.
