SETTING UP THE AIS SAFELINK SART2 TRANSPONDER ?

1. Take the storage case and remove it from its slot.
2. Carry it to the liferaft using the strap provided.
3. Open the case and remove the Safelink SART2.
4. Take out the pole and insert the beacon at the top.
5. Remove the rubber cover from the pole and fully extend the mast.
6. Turn the sections to lock them in the fully extended position.

SAFELINK AIS SART2 DEPLOYMENT

TheAIS SAFELINK SART2 will work best if the upper section has an unobstructed view of the sky.

Do your best to maximize your view of the sky. The antenna reference point marked on the mast section should be positioned at least one meter above sea level when the SART2 AIS is deployed.

Attach the safetylanyard to the liferaft to prevent loss of the SART2 AIS.

Activate and deploy the Safelink AIS SART2.

NB: When activating inside the dinghy, the mast does not need to be fully extended.
