RETURN LINK SERVICE (RLS)The SeaSafe EIPRB3 Pro Ocean Signal beacon also features the return link technology or RLS . This translates into confirmation Via the Galileo satellite network, on behalf of the search and rescue services, that the distress message has been received And the Position is well detected . The castaway is then warned by a Flashing blue light On the EIPRB3 beacon that its distress signal has been confirmed, taken into account and that help is on its way. This EIPRB3 Pro Ocean Signal distress beacon also provides rescuers with a visual aid by producing a "flashing" light white strobe light as well as infrared strobe light . This is particularly useful when searching at night or in poor visibility. |
|
NFC CONNECTIVITYThe Ocean Signal EPIRB3 Pro SeaSafe beacon also features NFC functionality, enabling it to connect to a Smartphone. In addition to the fact that the shipwrecked person can see that his distress signal is taken into account by a rescue center, with the rLS function , it can also access various information from its beacon. Once you've installed the Ocean Signal app (available on IOS and Android), simply hold your phone up to the beacon and the app will open. It allows you to have access to a wealth of information :
It also shows the number of GNSS self-tests and tests performed and passed:
Please note: only works with an NFC (Near Field Communication) compatible smartphone |

AUTOMATIC RELEASE SUPPORT CAT. IThe Ocean Signal EPIRB3 Pro SeaSafe beacon is supplied with a category 1 self-releasing mounting bracket . If the user is unable to reach the EPIRB3 Pro beacon during a shipwreck, it is automatically released from its casing via a hydrostatic release once a certain depth (4m) has been reached. Once on the surface, the EPIRB3 PRO activates automatically and starts broadcasting a distress message. It can, of course, be triggered manually Using a button Protected by a cover to prevent tampering and false distress calls. There is also a version with manual triggering, EPIRB3. |
