INTEGRATED AIS FUNCTION The VHF can share AIS information via NMEA0183 or NMEA2000 networks. When connected via NMEA2000 to a multifunction display Furuno, a DSC call can be initiated directly from the display, simply by clicking on the AIS/DSC target.

	MEGAPHONE, INTERCOM AND LISTEN BACK The FM4850 VHF can be used as a megaphone with intercom and foghorn. The VHF features a high-quality megaphone function for clear communication on deck and in port. When an additional handset is connected as a remote station, it can act as an intercom, enabling communications between the 2 stations. What's more, the Hail and Foghorn functions enhance safety and communications on board your boat when sailing at night or in fog. The foghorn has 8 different tones, each with its own meaning. In listen mode, the foghorn picks up external signals which are immediately transmitted to the main station's loudspeaker. This is the Listen Back function.) Listen back is an effective tool on fishing boats, allowing the loudspeaker to pick up the sound of trolling rods during a touchdown.
