Thanks to its Class B transmitter-receiver AIS, the VHF RS40B can be used autonomously to send an emergency call, transmitting exact coordinates via AIS. This guarantees enhanced safety to avoid collisions. The RS40B displays position data clearly and legibly, which can be superimposed on a chartplotter screen or radar images on compatible devices.

⚠️ A second VHF antenna or splitter is required to use the AIS


	NAVIGATION MODE Press the NAV button on the RS40B to turn it into a navigation instrument displaying your speed and heading. The RS40B also features a Man Overboard (MOB) function. Press and hold the NAV / MOB button to delete a waypoint at your current position. The RS40B will enter MOB mode to show you your distance and where you need to move to. The MOB waypoint is also transmitted via NMEA 2000 to the rest of your network.

TRANSMITTER-RECEIVER AIS A dual-channel AIS receiver monitors the position of nearby vessels equipped with a AIS transmitter, helping you to avoid collisions in crowded waterways. The information AIS can be viewed on the RS40's built-in display or overlaid on your GPS or compatible radar display.

	UPGRADEABLE WIRELESS HANDSET Add an optional wireless handset to take your radio anywhere. The HS40 handset has been designed as an intuitive, portable companion to the RS40B. Each handset duplicates your radio's display and controls, allowing remote access to all key functions. Multiple handsets also allow the RS40B to become a convenient on-board intercom.
