GPS SPOT-LOCK, AUTOPILOT, AND REMOTE CONTROL

With the GPS Spot-Lock, the Minn Kota Riptide Terrova2 keeps your kayak at a saved location. The motor it-ly adjusts its heading and thrust to compensate for wind and current. This is convenient for staying at a fishing spot without having to constantly correct your position.

AutoPilot mode is used to follow a set course. Once the direction is selected, the motor corrects for drift while navigating to maintain that course.

• Propeller: Starts and stops the motor.
• Speed: Adjusts the speed of travel.
• Spot-Lock: Holds the kayak at a specific GPS position.
• AutoPilot: follows a course while correcting for drift.

DEPLOYMENT, RETRIEVE, AND BATTERY GAUGE

The Stow Deploy system makes launching easy. Press the lever to deploy it before you set out. At the end of your session, press the-lever again to retract the motor and lock it in the stow position.

The Terrova2 Riptide also features a built-in battery gauge. A simple press of the button is all it takes to check the remaining charge level, either before you set out or during your outing.

The motor can be operated directly from its mount, and the gauge remains accessible so you can check the battery status during your ride.

WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY

The Terrova2 Riptide is remotely controlled and can communicate with select Humminbird, and Minn Kota equipment thanks to its One---Boat Network compatibility.

You can also control the motor from a smartphone compatible with the Minn Kota Fishing app. No need to go to the front of the kayak to access the controls.

• Draw & Navigate: Draw a route that the motor can then follow.
• Humminbird: Use navigation features with compatible devices.

These features allow you to reach a fishing spot, follow a pre-planned route, or move from one area to another without constantly having to steer the motor.

WHAT SHAFT LENGTH SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

To choose the shaft length, you need to consider the distance between the bow of your boat and the waterline. If the shaft is too short, the propeller may not be fully submerged, especially in rough water. Here’s how to determine the appropriate length:

• Measure the distance between the bow and the waterline.
• Add 30 cm to this measurement if you’re fishing in rough water.
